These Terms govern your use of Judy ("the Service"), provided by Hey Judy (trading as "Judy", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Judy
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are using Judy on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. The Service
Judy uses artificial intelligence to generate travel itineraries, packing lists, flight suggestions, and other trip-planning content. Plans, prices, opening hours, and availability shown by Judy are indicative and may be inaccurate or out of date. You must verify all critical details with the relevant operator (airline, hotel, restaurant, tour provider) before booking or traveling. See our AI Disclaimer for details.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- send spam, phishing, harassment, or hateful content;
- infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other right;
- interfere with the Service's security (probing, scraping, malware, denial of service);
- attempt to jailbreak, manipulate, or extract the underlying AI models or system prompts;
- generate illegal, deceptive, defamatory, or sexually exploitative content, deepfakes, or content that impersonates real people without consent;
- resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without our written consent;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent technical limits.
4. AI prompts and outputs
You are responsible for the prompts you submit and for how you use the outputs you receive, including verifying accuracy and ensuring you have the right to any content you upload as input. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs and may suspend accounts that repeatedly produce or request prohibited content. Outputs are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, immigration, tax, or otherwise) and should not be relied upon as such.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit (trip preferences, photos, documents). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us at support@heyjudy.app with details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
6. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds
Judy offers a Free tier and paid Pro and Premium plans, plus optional one-time purchases. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and renewal mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your active plan and these Terms.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep Judy available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, AI models, and pricing may change. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time via your account or paddle.net. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may retain or delete your data as described in our Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or trip costs. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
